Dog-friendly cottages with hot tubs in Nottinghamshire

Stay in a Teversal house, a Mansfield townhouse or a shepherd's hut by the Trent, each with a private hot tub. The two houses have enclosed gardens and room for more than one dog; the hut takes one small dog in an open field setting.

Trails and riverside stays

The Gatehouse at Teversal

The Gatehouse sleeps eight in Teversal. Its ground-floor bedroom and bathroom have steps. For a dog walk, join the former railway paths at the Teversal Trails visitor centre on Carnarvon Street. Dogs are welcome on a lead or under close control. The nearby pub allows dogs outside only, so plan around outdoor seating if you want to stop for a meal together.

Mansfield and Sherwood Pines

4 Rockcliffe Grange sleeps six across three floors in Mansfield, with a utility room and laundry facilities for the return from a muddy walk. Sherwood Pines has three waymarked walking trails and welcomes dogs. Parking is charged; follow the forest's lead signs and take dog waste home, as there are no bins. This is a separate outing, rather than a woodland walk from the cottage gate.

Sweet Caroline by the Trent

At Low Marnham, Sweet Caroline stands in the owner's field beside the River Trent. Stay with your dog outside, especially near the water. Up to four people share a double-bunk studio, and the wood-fired hot tub takes time to heat. Electricity comes from solar panels; hairdryers and straighteners can strain the supply. Choose this for a hut stay with simple meals and evenings by the river.
